Service Description

This course will successfully train divers to dive to a depth of 50m while going beyond their decompression limits and using a decompression gas. It is a comprehensive course that will give the student all the skills, knowledge and experience to safely complete 50m dives. Program Overview Dive to a maximum depth of 50 metres/165 feet. Use any optional combination of air, nitrox, trimix and / or oxygen. The END / EAD for trimix must not exceed 30metres / 100 feet. Complete a maximum of 30 minutes accelerated decompression. Divers may only utilise a single decompression gas. Divers may use up to 100% oxygen for accelerated decompression. Divers must use a multi-gas switch computer. Bottom or back gas maximum PO2 is 1.4 and a maximum of 1.6 for accelerated decompression gas. Certified to use air, nitrox, oxygen and trimix with a maximum END/EAD of maximum 30 metres/100 feet. Prerequisites Be a minimum of 18 years old. Be a certified diver for at least 3 months. Be certified as a RAID Nitrox, Deep 40 and Master Rescue Diver (or equivalent), and have experience in Navigation and Night/Restricted Visibility diving. Must have logged at least 5 hours between 27-40m. Submit current Rescue Breathing, CPR Training and Oxygen Provider certificates. Have logged 50 hours underwater or 75 dives using open circuit. Duration- 6 days Equipment Needed Dive Computer: Please let us know what kind of dive computer you have before arrival to make sure it’s suitable for the kind of diving we will be doing. Most dive computers that have the ability to do a “Gas Switch” will suffice. 1 Back up Timing Device: A secondary timing device or bottom timer Masks: One primary mask and one back up mask. Fins: Any fins besides split fins and you should be okay. Recommended “tec style” or jet fins. Tec Pockets: If you own tec pockets or pocket shorts, please bring them. Compass: One that points north is preferable SMB and spool: 1 Orange SMB and 1 finger spool (minimum 40m length) If done is Sidemount you will need your own sidemount rig. Regs can be rented from us. Price includes Training, Material, and Certification fee. It does NOT include gas used on the course, any equipment rental or boat fees (if desired)
